Marie Saint Pierre's cruise collection is always composed of "classic" yet versatile pieces. Behind the glamour is also the desire to remain eco-friendly. We want to travel light with iconic pieces and silhouettes whose asymmetrical details offer several iterations of the same garment.
Our creations are adorned with intense, bewitching hues, such as klein blue and vibrant metallics. These emblematic colors intertwine in a harmonious ballet, creating striking contrasts inspired by a 60s movement. This movement is known as "New Realism", and includes artists such as Yves Klein, Christo and Nikki de Saint Phalle. This movement seeks to describe the world as it is, without embellishment, in all its natural beauty.
Like a collage, blocks of contrasting colors are placed asymmetrically on the garment to create a trompe l'oeil effect. We also played with the colorblock effect to give our collection a striking modernity. The floral print, a symbol of delicacy and femininity, contrasts with the graphic effects and reiterates the beauty of nature. Created in watercolor, each motif seems to float on the fabric, like an ephemeral work of art captured in time. The subtle paint effect lends each piece an aura of spontaneity.
The cuts are resolutely modern and feminine, with details reminiscent of the 60s. Garments with oversized pockets and blunt-edged collars cut from technical and functional materials allude to the functionality and realism that inspired this collection.
